In full disclosure, I had more fun and enjoyed the trail more than I thought I would. This allows the traveler to do a bit of choose-your-own-adventure route building where the 2 paths braid together and separate (especially prevalent in the western half of the trail), so everyone can hike a slightly different path if they wanted to. The routes have like 70-80% overlap, but there are points where they diverge. The footroute is a little longer and a little bit less direct, and a little bit more elevation change. ![]() The trail itself is a mixture of gravel roads, paved roads, and hiking trails, and exists both as a bike route and a footroute. Being from Corvallis, I skipped the first 6 miles that just walk along the highway here, because I've walked those miles a dozen or more times. The Corvallis to Coast Trail is a 60 mile journey from Corvallis to Newport. Start: Fern & Grange Hall Rd (just south of Philomath)įinish: Ona Beach (just south of Newport) The first was the C2C (~60 miles), second will be the Rogue River Trail (in&out) 80 miles, and the third as a section of the ODT (~100 miles). As part of my preparation for the PCT this summer, I am trying to knock out a few of the longer trails/trail segments around Oregon. ![]() I've volunteered with the C2C organization a few times doing trail work on parts of the trail. Living in Corvallis and being a hiker, I am a little embarrassed it took me this long to do this hike.
